The Town of Morehead City has a temporary, seasonal Solid Waste Equipment Operator  position available.  Duties include assisting in the operation of commercial solid waste collection boom truck and related equipment; collection of yard waste, tree limbs, vines, and brush; delivering of roll-out carts; and assist in minor equipment maintenance.  Candidates must have the ability to perform outdoor, physical labor, lift a minimum of 10 pounds regularly and up to 20 pounds occasionally.  A valid, unrestricted NC Driver's license is required. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school will be considered.   Work schedule approximately 40 hours per week, possible evenings and week-ends.    Pay is $9.60 per hour.  This is a temporary position without benefits.
